The Voice of Courage from FEDAYN by Dario Fo and Franca Rame brings to the stage the intense and vibrant monologue of an Arab woman who consciously chooses to take part in a struggle that appears, from the very beginning, almost impossible to win. It is a radical choice, one that entails the complete acceptance of responsibility and risk, but also a profound act of self-determination.

The text originates from a real testimony collected by Franca Rame during one of her journeys through territories marked by conflict, and subsequently reworked into theatrical form together with Dario Fo. From this living material emerges a voice that is not only individual, but collective: a voice that traverses stories, bodies, and acts of resistance, restoring the complexity of a human and political experience.
