Bambina Mia is a show inspired by Peter Pan and the need for a flight, understood as a metaphor for the primary need in children, for exploration and knowledge.
The protagonists are Mia, a normal and in the same time extraordinary child and a Tree Fairy, who helps in her desire to fly. The fairy also embodies a present-absent mother and the nature of Kensington Gardens with its magical calmness.
Mia goes to the park with her mother ,and perhaps thanks to her shyness and solitude, manages to grasp the wonders of nature, to play with the leaves and trees, with the ladybugs and the wind. It is the magical little moments of freedom and exploration denied to adults. It will be the Tree Fairy to help in her desire for autonomy.
But unlike the mythical Peter Pan, when Mia returns home she will find the window open. The little girl will have thus been able to conquer her freedom without giving up the love of her mother who has meanwhile complicitly slept with one opened eye. She is happy to welcome her little girl who has grown up.
